I've Been Tagged

Well Lis got me lol you got me big time. Lis tagged me so here 8 things about me.

Ok let me think let me think lol,

1. Well besides sewing and crocheting I love reading. Just haven't been reading in awhile due to me crocheting way to me lol but, I am into urban books something to keep me on the edge of my seat.

2. Most people don't know that I am single well yep single not married but, you can say dating whenever I have time.

3. I barely leave Milwaukee. Grow up here but, was born in Mississippi. I have been to most of the cities that is here in Wisconsin and Chicago that is only about a hour in a half away from here and been to Florida for my daughter's make a wish for Disney World but, other then that not a travling person. :)

4. I am a stay at home mom due to my daughter Nesa always being sick I had to quit working used be a medical assistant at a local hospital here in Milwaukee. But, I make a little extra money from my crocheting and sewing.

5. Oh love movies mainly action and horror anything with drama in it I am watching it lol.

6. I am the oldest out of 3 kids I am in my late 20's dang how time fly by so quick lol.

7. If you knew me in person you will see I can't never stuck up lol, I tend to talk talk talk about whatever.

8. One last thing about myself. I don't like to share my crochet hooks lol. :)

On A WIP Roll

This weekend has been hecked so I wasn't able to get a lot done as I thought I would. I did get some crocheting done. I can't tell you how much I have missed making things. I like the finish projects and like how calm and relaxing crocheting does. I was able to finish that girlie baby blanket that has the crochet edging going around it. It came out so pretty love the outcome to it. I brought 2 yards of the fabric 1 yard on each side with the crochet edging sandwich right between the fabric. I picked a thinner fabric so it's more of a receiving blanket then a blanket since it will be getting warmer outside dont want anything to thick when summer comes. On 2 sizes of the blanket I have pink, green then on the other 2 sides I have green, pink. The stitches is small shell stitches that worked up quickly. I measured the sides by chaining and using the chain row to measure how many stitches I needed. Used I - hook Yarn Caron Simply Soft limelight and soft pink. If you look at the...

Glad To Be Back

I've been up to no good lol.... Did a shrug and slacks with no pattern unless you count me tracing my old slacks as a mock pattern...also whipped up a no sew purse out of one yard fabric, yes NO SEW... Then I moved on to cutting out and fitting another outfit...haven't been following patterns much I'm used to doing it as I see it then do it, but wanted to give this a try.. It's by McCall's I don't remember the number but I'll make sure to include all that once I finish it completely... Today was my Sew Sunday....so after making sure all is alright with the fitting I pinned it and hoping to sew it tomorrow or Tuesday after work...then I'm in to the pants..the pattern asks for capris but I want to do pants instead... I've been missing because life got so busy...been crocheting running my business and all...taking care of kids... When I wasn't taking care of kids and household, running my businesses I was writing...now published autho...

WOW it's been awhile since I logged on. I've been so busy everyone. Nesa was in the hospital for the whole month of January due to rejection but, she is doing better now. To make a long story short she is back in school. She is more happy YAY. We home more now then before. I've been working and school been taking up a lot of my time. Don't get in much crocheting. But, I have been teaching 3rd graders up to the 5th graders how to crochet at my kids after school program. One day back in January I got a call from the person that runs the afterschool program asking me questions about crocheting and all. He found out about me though Nesa and Nellie's teachers because in the pass I've been them things and they remember me. So I got a job from word by mouth. YAY lol. The girls are getting the hang of it. Well some of the girls. Oh before I started teaching the girls at the school. I went ahead and taught Nesa first.
